Board Member Expectations

AUTUMN SALON MISSION

The Autumn Salon honors and supports the artistic traditions of the world, and the artists who represent them. Through our online writings and event programming we aspire to cultivate a strong membership community of participants and patrons, creating a living salon culture that fosters meaningful and lasting relationships between artists, enthusiasts and professionals.

THE BOARD

The purpose of the Board is to assist in the execution of the Autumn Salon’s mission through the contribution of complementary skills, experience and perspectives. In addition, the Board serves to broaden the Salon’s professional reach by promoting its vision, activities and offerings, as well as facilitating sponsor and donor connections.

BOARD EXPECTATIONS

We value the strategic and financial contributions of our Board and consider its members key players in the accomplishment of our Mission. In this regard, we ask for the following commitments:

• Promote Autumn Salon seasonal events programming, membership opportunities and featured artists to your social and professional networks

• Contribute the amount of an Autumn Salon annual membership at the Aesthete level ($5,000) or above, either personally or through recruiting another member

• Attend bi-annual Board meetings (virtual)

• Attend two or more Autumn Salon events per year

• Provide your bio and image as a member of the Board on the Autumn Salon website

We further ask that Board members serve for a two-year (renewable) term, and keep the Autumn Salon in mind when opportunities or introductions would benefit the organization. 

OPPORTUNITIES

• Free membership and attendance at all Autumn Salon events

• Exclusive access to rehearsals, meetings and extracurricular activities involving the artists of the Autumn Salon

• Opportunities to shape organizational and programming decisions through direct conversations with the Directors and fellow Board members
